Assalamu'alaikum wbt and hello everyone.

Another Computer in Education class. Time flew really fast. I don't even realize that it's already week three. Hmm.

As usual, the CE class still is one of my favorite class. I learned new things about computers that all this time I don't really know that it exists. Haha. I need to explore more. AlhamduliLlah, I was given the opportunity to learn about computers in this subject.

Week Two. It's totally different than Week One. Fun, but still, it gives me a lot of pressures. Luckily, for this week, I got a ticket 'fly' to my hometown. Yohoo.

Ok, back to the topic. What I learned in week two in computer in education class is about Learning Management System (LMS) and Content Management System (CMS).

At first, I got confused about these two things. But with the guidance from Dr. Fariza and my friends, I got a clear picture of it. Err. Frankly speak, not a crystal clear one. But I understand a little bit.

Learning Management System (LMS) is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and delivery of e-Learning education courses or training programs. Most of universities and any companies department use this to connect to their students and workers.

Using LMS, lecturers can post tasks or any documents and course materials to their students. They also can track and process students participation in a forum or discussions. It is very beneficial for a distance learning. By that, students can access into this application anywhere they go as long as they have internet connection. LMS also can track new participants and their involving in discussions. Students or workers who use LMS can always up to-dated about their tasks and new assignments and view their course materials such as, videos, presentations and PDF files. LMS also provides exercises prepared by the lecturers. By LMS also, students can connect and have an online chatting within their friends in a group. For an example, in UKM, we used smpweb and i-folio to connect authority with our lecturers and students.

As for Content Management System (CMS), according to my comprehension, it is a online applications where we can post our reading materials, entries for tasks or assignments, lectures power points and task or quizzes. Using CMS, lecturers are capable of knowing how their students present their answers in quizzes or in tasks given. CMS can be used by anyone even for a someone who do not have a high knowledge about IT. It's easy and fun. Examples of CMS are BlendSpace, and WordPress. Its contents or entries can be changed anytime by the owner. So, it's flexible.

It's kinda hard to differentiate about these two things. But I am sure sooner or later, I will understand this clearly.

Ok, that's about LMS and CMS. Then we were asked to log in to our google drive and explore more features in it. It's kinda exciting to explore something new. All this time, I never knew that Google Co. have this kind of application in theirs. In my opinion, Google Drive is a good tool and I think it will help me a lot in my assignments and it is easier for me to share my reports and points with my friends. It is an online application or tool that help us especially students and teachers. Often, we lose our pendrive or thumbdrive, but with the help of Google Drive, our work become easier and we don't have to bring along our pendrive. It's kinda a backup plan when we lose our drives.

In addition, Google Drive is also a good tool because we can make online documents and presentations online! How awesome is that. I never thought and knew about it. It is very helpful for us as students.

What can I conclude is, Google is not just a searching engine, in fact it helps us more than just to find some information. So I love Google Drive!

Thank you and have a good day. :)
